Dr. Vines is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas. In private practice since 1988, he maintains his affiliation with U.T. Southwestern as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1990, and voluntarily re-certifies on an annual basis.

Dr. Vines’ obstetric interests include both routine and high-risk pregnancy management. He also serves as a physician advisor for HCA’s national program to improve patient safety for mothers and their newborns.

His gynecology services include well-woman exams and contraception counseling, management of abnormal pap smears, as well as evaluation and treatment of infertility, menstrual disorders, urinary incontinence, and osteoporosis. The office of Park Central OB/GYN Associates provides the convenience of free parking, in-office ultrasound examinations and DEXA bone density evaluation.

Following his interest in obstetrical patient safety programs, Dr. Vines has invented VacuLink™ (www.VacuLink.com), an electronic vacuum-monitoring device designed to provide the safest possible outcomes for infants delivered by vacuum-assisted delivery.

Dr. Vines and his wife Tammy are from Lubbock, Texas and are both graduates of Texas Tech University. A true “House Divided”, their older daughter Gable is a graduate of Texas A&M University, and younger daughter Molly will be attending Texas Tech.
